- Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Granny Smith Apples
- Serves 8
- Ingredients
- 4 cups sweet potatoes peeled and cubed
- 2 cups water
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tbs butter
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 2 granny smith apples, peeled and cubed
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 2. In a large saucepan combine the sweet potato, water, sugar, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg
- 3. Cover pan and simmer until sweet potatoes are tender
- 4. Mash sweet potatoes and mix in a baking dish with the cubed granny smith apples
- 5. Cover and bake for 30 minutes until apples are tender
