As humans, we’ve evolved to be incredibly complex beings.
In recognizing this fact, we’ve created a scientific world tirelessly searching for answers to explain the complexities of the human body that we do not yet understand.
Speaking from experience, I’ve noticed our tendency to project those inner complexities to our outside world.
What exactly do I mean by this?
I mean we tend to over-complicate, when perhaps some answers lie in simplicity.
We all crave vibrant, energetic, lasting health, – don’t we? And as we seek this level of all-encompassing wellness, we tend to look at things like superfoods, restrictive diets, herbal teas, and supplements. All of this can be wonderful in it’s own right.
But I want to get back to the basics for a moment…
About 60%of the human body is water, and we depend on water for our own survival. Unlike other nutrients, the importance of drinking water is nota topic of controversy within the nutrition world. However, in the midst of a saturated nutrition and dieting market, it may very be lacking the emphasis it deserves.
Whether your personal goals consist of weight loss, weight maintenance. Building muscle, feeling more energetic or simply seeking overall wellness – water consumption will be required to get you there.
Wondering how? Keep reading below for just a few ways water acts to promote health maintenance within the body.
- Removal of waste and toxins from the body.
- Body temperature regulation.
- Promotes greater mental clarity and focus.
- Maintenance of electrolyte balance.
- Cushions and protects joints.
- Aids in digestion.
- Maintains energy levels and helps prevent dehydration-related fatigue.
The easiest way to stay hydrated? Listen to your body and drink water when you’re thirsty! Carry a reusable water bottle with you as an environmentally friendly reminder to consistently hydrate throughout the day!
